CRT vs Lasik

Our office provides patients with both CRT and Lasik. You can schedule an eye exam appointment to discuss with our doctor.

CRT is a non-surgical vision correction treatment for near sightedness. It stops vision from worsening by wearing CRT contact lenses at night when you are sleeping. The lens reshapes the cornea of your eye and allows light to focus on the retina resulting clear vision all day. You can see clear without eyeglass or contact lenses during daytime. This procedure treats nearsightedness with or without minor astigmatism. And because there are no age restrictions on Paragon CRT, it may make perfect sense for you. It is non-surgical, reversible and safe treatment for all ages. It has been proven to work and approved by the FDA to be safe for overnight wear.

Lasik is a surgical vision correction treatment for near sightedness. It is an irreversible surgical procedure performed on the eyes. It has also been proven to work and approved by the FDA to be safe for correcting nearsightedness with astigmatism. You can see clear at distance without eyeglasses or contact lenses after surgery. Some patients may experience dry eyes, glares, night driving visual problems after Lasik and can be treated under doctor supervision. The ideal candiates for this procedure are 20-40 years old with stable vision and no need for wearing reading glasses. Lasik does not correct near vision problems (over 40 eyes) and you may still need to wear reading glasses after Lasik. We recommend multifocal eyeglass, contact lens or clear lens surgery to correct over 40 eyes/near vision problem.
